60 seconds to understand UX

Used universally, “UX” comes from the English language and is short for “User Experience”, but what does it really mean?

UX is a fundamental design phase in the building of websites and applications, as it implies advance inclusion of user needs and behaviour in order to give users the best experience possible. It is a crucial phase for any start-up or business wishing to develop and launch a new online service.

However, reaching beyond design, UX is now tending to evolve towards a more important role within organisations and to overflow into strategic aspects and into business itself.
