Electronic sport or e-sport refers to playing video games on the Internet or at a LAN party (a tournament on a network), alone or as a team, via a computer or video game console. It gained popularity at the end of the 90s when the first online multi-player games appeared, and has since become a real phenomenon. By the way, this summer, parallel to the Rio Olympic Games, e-sport will be celebrating its first Olympic games!
Professional players and the best amateurs will compete. At the highest level, electronic sport is often financed by sponsors and by revenues generated from streaming. You will know everything in 60 seconds!
Simply put, “60 sec to understand” is the most enjoyable (and the fastest!) way to make sense of the latest digital trends. However complex they may be, all will become clear about the new technologies that you use or will be using on a daily basis. And be warned: you’re going to enjoy it.
